This is a 90 minute sampler for our Sunday afternoon core class. Samplers are a great way to check out a Women Writing for (a) Change class for free. A sampler can help you decide if a class is a good fit for you, from our practices, to the facilitator, and more.

• Open to: All Genders, Ages 18+

As Audre Lorde says, we need to “recognize and nurture the creative parts of each other without always understanding what will be created.” In this six-week circle, we’ll explore the creative parts of ourselves that are familiar and that are new, and get excited about what we might build together through creative community. Using writing and other crafts, we’ll dig deep to discover our own unique kinds of magic and self-expression.

• Class runs: 6 Sunday afternoons; the first two classes (September 13 & 20) will be one week apart, and subsequent classes are every other week.
• Open to: All Genders, Grades 7-12
• Co-facilitated by Hannah Simon Goldman and Lachlan Malachi.

Core Class is where you find your writing community! Facilitators create a welcoming space with inspiration, writing prompts, small groups for feedback, and opportunities to read and listen in community. 

• Class runs for 6 sessions - Sep 13 & 20, Oct 4 & 18, Nov 1 & 15.  Note, the first two classes are one week apart and the remaining 4 classes are biweekly.
