Ordinary Wonders: A Writing Workshop
with Leighann Rechtin
Inspired by Wendy Cope's beloved poem The Orange, this Saturday afternoon workshop explores the extraordinary hidden within the everyday.
What small moments bring delight? What familiar objects deserve a second look? What ordinary experiences have quietly shaped your life?
Through poetry, reflection, and generative writing, we'll practice paying attention to the simple gifts that often go unnoticed. Together we'll discover how wonder is not something we find but something we cultivate.
Come prepared to slow down, notice deeply, and celebrate the beauty of ordinary things.
- Open to: All Genders, Ages 18+
About the Facilitator: Leighann believes writing is one of the most powerful ways we come home to ourselves. As an educator, facilitator, and lifelong learner, she creates welcoming spaces where curiosity, reflection, and connection can flourish. Whether writing poetry, personal stories, or simply noticing the world with fresh eyes, she hopes participants leave feeling more grounded, inspired, and connected to their own voice.
PRICING POLICY: We use a three tier pricing structure based on your financial circumstance. During registration, please select the tier that feels most true to your current financial ability. Learn more here.
SoulCollage®: Fanciful, Fun, Fantastic
with Jane Pugliano
Explore the theme of Fanciful, Fun, Fantastic through images you’ve chosen yourself or through a thoughtfully curated packet of images that will surely challenge you to think in a new way.
We’ll use the Women Writing for (a) Change practices of gathering in circle, writing, and thoughtful but optional sharing throughout our time together. And we'll be guided by the creative intuitive SoulCollage® process in which personal collaged cards are created with simple materials to aid in a journey of self-discovery. Uncover a new way to connect to the part of you who is learning to be more grateful for what you’ve been given.

CFLA Discernment Circle #3
with Diane Debevec
What if leadership looked like honoring intuition, deep listening and collective care?
At Women Writing for (a) Change, we grow leaders through our biannual Conscious Feminine Leadership Academy (CFLA). During CFLA, using writing as our primary tool of self-discovery, we study what Conscious Feminine leadership means and how to apply it personally, professionally, and as leaders in our community.
Applications for CFLA 2027 will open in January, and in preparation, we are holding three gatherings we call Discernment Circles, where we will provide information and answer questions about CFLA. We invite you to join us for one or more of these circles. The gatherings are free but registration is required.
- Circle #3 will meet virtually on Monday, Dec 14 from 6:30-8:30 PM
- Open to all genders, ages 18+
Additional information about CFLA 2027 will be available soon on our Leadership page.
